This is a music magazines contents page, and one that i will look to style mine upon. It is kept very simple, however still effective in its own way.Although i will not be using the same theme as this magazine as i am looking to stay away from aiming at one audience, however i will be trying to gain the same effectiveness in my pictures and use in fonts.

First of all we see the picture used which in this case spreads across the whole contents page. With the model looking at the camera it gives a feel of emotion, and the reader feels as if they are involved in what is happening within the picture. Although the background looks very nitty gritty, the model is wearing reasonable clothing, showing no forms of poverty. This could be a message to the reader of 'rags to riches'.

The style and variation in fonts used on this contents page, is very effective as it sets its own fashion and style, possibly showing to the reader of how it leads and doesn't follow trends/fashion/styles. 

There is also the way in which it uses catergories to seperate it pages, this is a great way to allow the reader to navigate around the magazine as well as giving the reader a chance to veiw any headings that catch their eye. Although very simple this use of sectioning is very effective for a contents page, and i will look to use this in my own contents page.
