My research will focus on the idea of combining both music with fashion, as i believe this aims towards my target audience of aspirational teens. The reason in which i have aimed towards this target group is that i believe they make up most of the music magazines customer base as well as being able to vary the magazine theme from issue to issue due to the variation of people in this target group.

Below are other examples of front covers, from the music magazine 'Blender'.  It is this style that I will be looking for, however i will want to add my own uniqueness in order to have my magazine stand out from the rest.

You can see from the images below that the style i will be following is very fashioable and very clean cut, as you can see the cover is not over run by images and titles trying to catch the audiences eye, it is usual dominated by one image and few titles. Although this could be seen as a risky choice (having minimal titles on cover) i believe it will give a sense of style and status, which the customers will hopefully see and aspire to have.
